BLENDER 2.65 CYCLES DOWNLOAD

I was probably going to render over transparent and do compositing in After Effects. But my background is still magenta, and the glossy bits are reflecting that instead. Ideally, I obviously want the video to be the source of light and be reflected by the glossy bits, but I will settle for just finding out how to change the magenta to a less intolerable color! If you want to us a background texture you can also use a transparent background and use the compositer to incorporate you object into the movie. cyclees If you do get it working for gpu rendering, being such a low end card you may actually get better performance sticking with just the cpu Also before you ask, that tutorial is old and the location of some of the render settings have moved.

As you can see in the pic I am on cycles and I have the node set up for the world texture.

I put a video as a texture for the world space, but everything just ends up that default Magenta. I was probably going to render over transparent and do compositing in After Effects. Back to sticking the fan on full blast when CPU rendering then, I guess.

To make the background black set the background material strength to zero. I sometimes forget that this laptop is getting out of date. Also before you ask, that tutorial is old and the location of some of the .265 settings have moved.

My main reason for wanting to switch is that even with my fans running at full speed - thanks to smcFanControlan awesome little app for any Mac users - my CPU temp is still hitting like C, and sometimes tickling C, which is obviously not cool.
